Aryssa Has Been Very Busy

Aryssa has been very busy exploring now that she is has been crawling for awhile and realizes what all she was missing. She loves the crawl over and play with the dog's crate. Her absolute most favorite thing to do even after she gets in trouble for it countless times a day...it is to play and splash in the dog's water bowl. She just can't seem to get enough of that these days. She has so much fun playing with all the blinds so they pretty much stayed pulled up with the strings tucked up high. Also her favorite thing to do (I don't know why) is to crawl into our master bathroom and pull on the shower curtain and shake it. She somehow thinks that is so funny and very entertaining.

May 15th Aryssa turned 16 months old. Time is sure flying by so fast these days.  On May 15th she also pulled herself into standing position all by her self on the window sill. I of course missed it and she wouldn't do it again for several days. Now she tries to pull herself into standing on everything. I am predicting she will be walking by the end of summer (hopefully before the end). She is getting to be such a big girl. She laughs all the time and is generally just a happy baby. I can't get enough of her giggles. They just light up my day when she laughs at something...especially when she does something to crack herself up. She is truly amazing to watch grow and discover. I am so blessed that I am able to stay home and witness all of this. I love my baby girl (sorry guess she is a toddler now) so much.

I know I haven't mentioned much about how her therapies are going. Well he last physical therapy was on April 28th as her therapist moved and they haven't found a replacement yet. Although she seems to be doing just fine on her own and with her Early Intervention therapist Chrissie who comes to the house once a week for an hour to work with her on all her developments. Her feeding therapy wasn't doing too bad up until she cut all these teeth in the last month. I had bought her a special therapy spoon called a Z-Vibe which vibrates and also has many attachments for it to stimulate the tongue, face, and mouth. She was doing so well with it until those darn teeth came in and her mouth has been sore. She really hasn't had much improvement in the feeding therapy in months but we are just keeping it going so hopefully one day maybe we can get through to her and she will figure out eating isn't so bad.

That is about all that is going on around here. She keeps me pretty busy following her around to make sure she doesn't get into anything she isn't supposed to. I pretty much let her explore anything unless it isn't safe.
