Aryssa attempting "Raspberries"

Aryssa's NG tube has been out since Thursday morning and she is already doing more stuff with her mouth. She is finally attempting raspberries which her feeding therapists has had us working on with her for a few months now. It is actually a milestone that is important for oral motor skills. She is so funny trying to do them. She ends up just spitting most of the time but every once and while she actually gets the tongue right and does it beautifully. I am sure we are going to regret she knows how to do them once the "cuteness" wears off.... or maybe not because it is so darn funny. She is really showing her personality since we have been here. Hard to believe that NG tube was holding so much back from her. Here is a couple of videos trying to capture the actions but of course she is a little camera shy as usual but we got some really good ones in there. Notice her mouth movements in the videos... that is great improvements and it is great exercises for her mouth muscles. Her feeding therapist will be VERY proud.
