On the 18th of Nov Aryssa had a hearing test done due to concern from all of her therapist because she isn't babbling much or responding to voices all the time. Well she passed perfectly. The doctor said she probably just has selective hearing... go figure, My daughter?! On the 23rd we drove 3.5 hours to Memphis for her post-operation appt. The surgeon was very surprised on how much she has gained since her surgery (over a pound in less than 4 weeks). He said we need to come back in 6 weeks so he can swap out the Mic-key button for a long size due to she is quickly outgrowing the one she has in and it will get very uncomfortable. Then on the 24th we had our re-check appt with the Neurologist in Nashville. He was very surprised on how happy she was compared to when he saw her months ago and all she did was scream and cry the whole time. He did a little questionnaire quiz on her and came out with that she is about 2-3 months delayed in some of her developments (not surprised here) but otherwise he was very thrilled at what she has accomplished since he last saw her this summer. He is not too worried about her small head size as before since even though it is way off the growth chart due to it is growing with the growth curve. This Thursday, Thanksgiving, we are driving down to my parent's and having dinner with them and drop off the dogs so they can watch them this weekend while we are in Mississippi. Then Friday morning (4am) we are heading out for Mississippi to my Ma Maw's house. Saturday we are spending the day at a Lodge with most of my family. We have borrowed my friend's portable DVD player for Aryssa to watch movies while we take out 7.5 hour drive. Wish us Luck.
