Fun Filled Monday

Well the day started off on a funny note. I let Aryssa sleep in the bed with me last night ( I know bad thing). Well I woke up at 6:30 and fed her while she was asleep since she wouldn't wake up. Then I went back to sleep and about 9:00 I am half asleep and aware that she is awake but being quiet. She is just making some little sounds while she is just stroking my face and running her fingers through my hair. Just content as can be. When I decide to finally open my eyes...she was just smiling and squealing at me. She was trying so hard to let me sleep in this morning. Then we had her feeding therapy today at 12:00 and of course she fell asleep at 1130 and I had to wake her immediately so we could get ready to leave. I was nervous all the way there that she was going to be cranky and it was going to be a bad session. Needless to say, she proved me wrong (as usual). She was opening her mouth real big when we came at her with a spoon with water or cereal on it. She is really starting to move her tongue more. Not a lot of swallowing but great improvements on the tongue motions. I was so proud of her.

This afternoon daddy had a Dole Strawberry Sorbet pop and when he was eating it, she was watching him so closely. I had him give her a taste and she seemed like she was liking it. I took it and put her in her bumbo seat with the tray and pushed it into a little ramekin and was feeding it to her with a spoon. She was just pushing it out of her mouth at that point, but seemed like she was still interested. OMG next thing I know she dumped the ramekin EVERYWHERE and was playing in it and putting her hands in her mouth. Very funny and cute to watch. Here are the picture... don't know why I didn't think to make a video of it. Maybe next time. Needless to say baby girl got herself a bath after that sticky mess.

All and all we had a pretty good Monday. Aryssa is getting so funny and I love just playing with her and watching her new expressions. Oh and Tennessee Early Intervention Program evaluator called today and she DOES qualify for state help. That about wraps up our fun filled Monday. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
